Day 3

fell asleep... so I missed my blogging Chance.....

Day 2

So today is day 2.  As I   I picked up a book today... the first time since College. Philp Yancy's Whats So Amazing about Grace. I have had it on my shelf since college and have always thought that this would be the next book I read.... who knew it would be 10 plus years. It took me a while just to get though the first chapter but I made it.   I began thinking about what I would write about and started thinking.....Do I really want put myself out in the open.   Do I really want to set myself up for everyone to see what  I am learning, going though, whatever it may be.....Do I want to do it?   My answer is yes.

Day 1

       So today was Easter Sunday and like most Holidays I was off to Church with my Family. My girls were dressed in the Easter dresses and my son in new pants because hey that is what you do for these special services. We opted to go to a different than normal place for church because a friend of ours had been spending hours and hours pouring herself into prep and planning for this special service. As we walked though the doors of the school gym we were warmly greeted by many people who my wife and I have gotten to know though many years of attending and volunteering at different Church's over the years. As the service started the band was good. I didn't really know many of the songs but then again it has been a while since I really had a " home church" and I haven't done well at keeping up with the latest Christian music. As the service continued there were some testimonies of people who attended the church. It was cool to hear the powerful testimonies of the first person. His story was again a story of how God will reach out and grab you whether your plan is to find him or not. Powerful and touching. As the stories continued the Theme became more and more clear. He Makes Beautiful things out of us.


Over and Over the band would sing this song by Gungor called Beautiful things. The first couple of times I listened to song and I enjoyed it . I kept listening to the song and stories and the more I listened to the words the more the song started to sink in. This song is about me! It was my story too! All the hurt and pain, that I had never told anybody had been herd. All the thoughts of I was supposed to be this and I was gonna do that seemed  were being replaced with thoughts of Its not to late and you can still and be and do what you want to do. Easter 2012. He is Risen! He makes Beautiful Things!


So here I am now.... This is going to be my journey. This will be My Story. Today is Day one. No better time to start then today. I know there will be ups and downs. Highs and Lows but HIS love endures all things.
